Hello, thank you for looking at my profile or considering my application.

I'm a very creative person, my focus has been on writing in recent years, though I have always had a passion for the visual arts. Accordingly I have a high level of literacy and strong IT skills.

I would describe myself as dedicated, diligent and versatile in that when I undertake a task I like to give it full attention to deliver a quality product or service even if the methods I have to use are unorthodox new to me.

I look forward to new challenges and I'm excited by the prospect of a part of my work having a positive effect on somebody else.

High degree of literacy, practiced in composition and proofreading., Practical creativity., Media production skills, trained in photography (still and moving) and sound recording as well as photo, video and sound editing., Computer literate, very experienced on Office packages, also databases, photoshop and several audio/visual editing packages., Good time management skills. Works well in a team or autonomously., Goal oriented, good eye for detail but able to see larger picture.

Sector Experience

I was a regular contributor to Gridlock Magazine, writing men's lifestyle articles, event overviews and film reviews., I am currently layout editor for Guisborough Life Magazine, responsible for proofreading and DTP., Until recently I ran two creative writing groups, I had to give them up when I moved into York but still consult. My role was as facilitator but I was also responsible for setting exercises and providing feedback on the work of group members., While studying my masters course at York St. John I brushed up my video editing skills as part of the student's union media team.
