My name's Phil Chidlow and I've been doing creative things - mostly involving graphic design - since the 80's. I have decided to contact more businesses offering my broad range of skills. Although this gathering of galleries cannot be a complete record it does I trust, demonstrate what I can do. I have a long-standing working relationship with a number of clients, mostly in the publishing arena, but would relish a return to more commercially-orientated projects. I have worked in advertising and magazines and, as well as having written in the past I am regularly invited to brainstorms and product development meetings for subjects as varied as transport innovations and art exhibitions to gaming machines and currency exchange services.

I would be thrilled at the opportunity to discuss how I might bring my skills and experience to bear in this current challenging environment.

I would particularly welcome the chance to meet and determine if we are right for each other, so to speak. I don't know if it's appropriate to mention but I've worked with some big agencies such as Pentagram in the past while I was Art Director at IMP in London and this along with many other 'experiences' (for instance, I was involved with the 'Spitting Image' team for a while), it should at least provide a hot coffee's worth of conversation.

PS Although it difficult to avoid jargon, I hope the work I have selected to show illustrates that I know my way around design and so on. I also love classic cars, wine, France, cooking (I art directed food shoots for a couple of years and it's stuck with me) and good old fashioned Art.
