About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

Having gained a First Class Honours design degree at Brunel University and 13 months of useful full-on experience in the industry, I believe that this Junior Creative Designer position is the perfect next career for me, and one which my skill sets match excellently.

I am not afraid of hard work and pay strong attention to detail, traits that are exhibited throughout my whole CV. I have an excellent knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, skills that were developed in me throughout my degree and placement year in an award winning digital media agency. Throughout the year I worked on many campaigns for high-end companies such as Google, Expedia and Barclays Corporate. Amongst other things, I also created any necessary digital assets for our website, as well as for other clients such as the Barclays Corporate homepage.

My time within industry refined in me the ability to stick stringently to brand guidelines, for example when it was necessary to create a suite of banners for Google or Expedia. Throughout the course of my degree, and especially in my industrial placement year, I was also able to develop my own creative flair, of which I now have a very sharp eye for.

I have a strong understanding of how the design process works, from idea conception to delivery, as well as how to prepare assets for print, or digital media. I am a very fast learner, and am an enthusiastic person, eager to get stuck in and brimming with creative ideas. I have a proven track record of handling multiple tight deadlines, for example when I created 150 banners for Google within the space of only a few days. I am a highly organised person and one who recognizes the importance of sticking to time plans, a trait that was integral to the aforementioned project, which required me to work efficiently and methodically, in order to fulfil the deliverables correctly and on time. Finally, I have strong communication skills, something that came in handy in my placement year and final year of university where I was often the designated copywriter, amongst my other jobs.
