About me

Founder of the infamous Podge Lunch which was set up in 1994 (by request of the key players in the design industry) to create a no agenda afternoon of collaboration and networking at its most relaxed. Something that just didn't exist in the 90's.

The original Podge Lunch is now over a quarter of a century old and has branched out from design, to sport, digital and music. Four times a year, the lunches bring together over 250 of the most influential people in their respective industries.

Back in the early days I was co-founder of Typography studio APT, which I sold. I then became MD of Real Time Studio, one of the first, digital agencies set up in the UK, working on some of the most exciting projects and digital firsts for brands like Mini, Diesel, UEFA. It later merged with EHS (now Havas). I was also chairman of The Typographic Circle for 5 years and a visiting lecturer at numerous design colleges up and down the country.

Over the past 20 years I have (and still do) work in an advisory capacity for a variety of creative and digital businesses which i have to say has been the highlight of my career. I get to choose who I hang out with each day. I have also had the pleasure of being Chairman of The Drum DADI Awards for a staggering 14 years now and I was an original inductee into the BIMA Digital Hall of Fame.
