About me

I am a 3D Design: Designer Maker Graduate where my interests mainly
lie in furniure and exhibition design.

I am an enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable individual with a very
practical, hands-on and visual approach to design. I have excellent
organisational and planning skills and an ability to see projects
through to their conclusion within a given timeframe. I also possess
high quality drawing techniques and presentation proficiency. I have
good interpersonal skills relating to both colleagues and clients, and
maintain high-levels of making expertise and knowledge of furniture
design.

I am inspired through natural, organic and sinuous forms which
create a delicate and beautiful aesthetic story through my design. I
also enjoy more alien shapes and angles which perform an outstanding
characteristic to my design ideas.

Since graduation (Sept 2008) I have been travelling (May-Aug 2009)
and gained invaluable experience overseas.

Since returning to the UK (Aug 2009) I have developed various
freelance projects as well as gaining experience in showroom and
exhibition design with Wella Salon Furnishings, at their head office in
Basingstoke and various locations throughoout the UK.

Also while at University I was part of a team that co-ordinated and
organised furniture exhibitions to display work to both the general
public and potential buyers. These exhibitions were held on a small
scale locally to Plymouth including our Degree Show at the University,
CCANW Wood Culture Exhibition near Exeter and Contemporary Craft Fair,
Bovey Tracey, Devon. We also organised and designed our own exhibition
stand in London at New Designers 2008 where our stand maintained a lot
of interest from buyers and companies.
