About me
One day I was sat on the tube. The guy next to me was reading the Metro. I was trying to read his paper out of the corner of my eye. And I saw one of my ads. And this guy was looking at my ad. Not reading the paper. That made me happy.
Here are some other happy moments from my career:
- Selling second-hand smoke to highlight how many lives it costs
- Comparing the taste of tea to an orgasm
- Having my work recognised in leading awards including Campaign and the ANNAs
- Helping agencies win over £500m worth of new business
- Arranging for a venue to announce its opening night a week earlier than the actual date. While customers outside were being told the club was full, inside a DJ played to an empty dance floor. The following week, when the club opened for real, it had a capacity crowd
Outside of work, some things that make me happy are spending time with my son, writing and performing stand-up comedy, painting, watching the latest TV dramas and working on a film script, which I might eventually finish around 2078.
