About me
I have recently been made redundant from my job as Motor Sport Editor at TRMG, so I am available to start work immediately.
My job involved editing the Motor Sport Association (*) official quarterly magazine: Motor Sports Now, and overseeing much of the company's motor sport output including the 2005 Silverstone Programmes (BTCC, F3/GT, FIA GT Tourist Trophy, LMES, WTCC etc), Stoneleigh Historic Motorsport Show Guide and Wales Rally GB Programme. I was also responsible for instigating, writing and editing the first Formula 1 Test Day Programme, which proved to be a great success. I have written road and race car reviews, an F1 opinion column for girlracer.co.uk and advert copy (MototGP 06)
Despite my main experience being within motor sport and automotive journalism, I spent the year after I left university working in radio news, although this isn't an area I would particularly like to go back into, I feel it teaches important skills in time management; concise writing; working under pressure and, as I was also reading the news, clarity of speech and excellent verbal communications skills.
I am first and foremost, a trained journalist from an NCTJ accredited course so I can turn my hand to almost any subject, it just happens that I am a car fanatic!
