About me

I believe that brand design is increasingly important to the design of consumer products, where all products in a brands portfolio must draw from and reinforce the values of the brand.
To deliver this it is essential to understand the consumers relationship with the brand, how they view its values and personality, and then understand how these can be translated into tangible expressions through the design of its products and its packaging.

Defining a distinct Visual Brand Language (VBL) and applying it appropriately across the portfolio is a robust way to achieve this, but it requires long term vision and consisitency of application.
After more than 25 years experience in design consultancy, specialising in 3D design for FMCG and consumer brands, I have learnt that design can 'be the difference', but I have also learnt that it is not enough to just be different, products must be relevant to thier users, and to the brand.
