About me

I am a very experienced illustrator capable of working in many styles and media, including digital, and a graphic designer with over 27 yearsexperience in the graphics and illustration Industry. I trained as a graphic designer at Southampton College of Art gaining a Southern Regional Diploma in Design. I was then employed by one of the South's leading graphic design studios, creating high quality design and illustration for clients such as Cunard and Schlumberger, for 4 years. I became freelance in 1982 to service my own clients, and have freelanced ever since, supplying marker visuals for advertising agencies, illustration and design for design consultants and illustration and general graphic design for my own clients. I joined a London illustration agency in 1990, staying with them for 6 years, and received higher profile work from clients such as Fortnum and Mason, The Post Office, BBC, Sainsbury, Tesco, Merchant Gourmet and the like, often liaising with top London design groups and advertising agencies in the process. Since then I have relied on a more local clientele for design and illustration work, and have lately become interested in supplying illustration work for book publishers as a way of expressing myself more as an individual. I am looking for freelance work in any of my varied styles, to be created in my own studio, rather than working on site.
