About me
I am a highly experienced graphic design artworker with an excellent eye for detail, both technical and visual. I have worked in the industry, mostly on a freelance basis, for over 27 years and have built up an extensive knowledge of print processes and the inevitable compromises required for each.
Over my career I have worked for most of the big London agencies, including Imagination, Conran Design, Landor, PI Global, Interbrand, Enterprise IG, Clark McKay and Walpole, Addisons and SiebertHead, on brands as diverse as Sony, IBM, Kraft Jacobs Suchard, Mars, L'Oréal, Elemis, D&D Restaurants and Smith-Kline Beecham.
In recent years I have taught myself the skills required to build WordPress websites. Most of my sites are built with bespoke themes, tailor-made for each client's requirements. All of my sites are built with an eye to SEO, and I always ensure that the sites are easy for the client to maintain, add and edit new content, etc. I have experience of integrating WooCommerce solutions and BuddyPress.
I sing with, and am a Trustee of, Brighton Gay Men's Chorus with responsibilities for IT and the charity's online presence - consisting of the main website, a ticket sales site and a members-only site. I am also responsible for oversight of the charity's social media presence including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
