Dear Sir,

I write to you in regard of your currently vacant position for a Designer. I have thirteen years' service and a wealth of experience in the sign-making industry and feel I could slot seamlessly into your working environment. In my current role I have a wide overview of many of the leading software packages utilised in our industry. The constantly evolving nature of these means I keep abreast of developments and adapt my working knowledge regularly. Indeed, upon commencing my current role my background in this area had gaps which I have filled more than successfully to the point where, within a year, I was given sole responsibility as generator of all art work and soon promoted to workshop manager. This included the use of unfamiliar software that I very quickly became fluent with.

This versatility is bolstered by an intelligent approach to work and a sense of initiative in both supervisory and supportive roles. I consider myself diligent with excellent attention to detail; I am punctual, reliable and loyal and, in addition, am more than happy to undertake any further training required for the position.
