About me

I am a web designer with over 12 years in the industry. I trained as a graphic designer and illustrator. Beginning in 1999, I have worked both as a permanent designer and a contractor for over 3 years, roles have included 3.5 years at Tesco as senior designer on the shopping site. This role involved: creating banners, email, templates,bespoke pages, design of the Tesco Direct site, online magazine style sections, managing and mentoring junior designers, designing the intranet system and print design.

More recently, I have been Lead designer at Consumer Choices an online price comparison service.

In this role, I have been responsible for everything from: page layout and design, widgets, banners, style guides, logos, all illustration used on the sites, email templates, PPC provider landing pages, site takeovers, print design, some photography and wireframing. I am part of the user testing team, honing the designs to maximise conversion rates, this role also involves liasing with stakeholdes, the SEO team. I also mentor and manage a junior designer.

Durin this time, I have also worked on a variety of private jobs, including advising clients on SEO, website optimisation and a number of CD cover designs.

I am now looking for a permanent rodesign the London area, but would consider a contractor position if suitable.
