To whom it may concern,

My name is Paz Herrero and I am writing to find out whether there may be an opportunity as an assistant within your company which could allow me to progress with my architectural career. I am very impressed with the quality of the exciting projects featured on your website, and I feel I have skills and qualities that you could be of benefit to your company.

I am a qualified architect and I gained practical experience working at Charles Barclay Architects as an architectural assistant from march to august in 2011. In my time there I worked on all of the current projects and was involved in the different phases of each project including drawing up new plans (with Vectorworks), creating 3D models (sketch up) and detailing new aspects of projects currently under construction. Most of them were refurbishments of residential projects or public schools.

Currently, I am drawing proposals for the refurbishment of Central Craft and also, I am submitting a proposal to an Italian University who is holding a competition to generate ideas for a structure which withstand the effects of a tsunami.

As my work at Charles Barclay Architects demonstrates, I am good at working in a team, I am highly committed and I enjoy producing high quality work. I also love learning, and will be completing a Rhinoceros course in my own time over the next few months to develop my skills in digital 3D modelling.
