About me
My name is Pavla. 32. I was born in Czechoslovakia, graduated from University of Cambridge in modern languages (Italian and German) and have a history of working largely in hospitality and film production. My passion are documentaries. I directed 2 feature docs without ever had formal film education. The first, Blues by the Beach, received a lot of media attention and has won awards at festivals. The second, The Pied Piper of Hutzovina, which I directed and co-produced, is distributed worldwide and has met with a great commercial success. My desire is to continue on the path of personal projects, whilst earning money and learning from helping other projects. I trust I would do well in visual research, writing treatments, as a second camera, and anything else that requires less of a technical expertise and more the brain, energy and enthusiasm of a passionate person with a basic understanding of film production in all its different stages.
