About me

Nottingham Graphics is the name I trade under. With over twenty five
years' experience in print, I've worked as a Typesetter, a
Printer, and for the last twenty two years, as a Designer and Layout
Artist.

I went freelance in the summer of 2008.

I now do Websites too, from first concepts to design, build and
publish.

Skills

I've been using Apple Macs since 1987, and I know the software inside out. Quark Xpress got me started, version 1.0. The install disk was a single floppy. You could say we've grown up together., I'm just as much at home with InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator and Freehand because I've been using them all for years., I started doing websites and I use Freeway for that., I can do the imposition of your 48 page magazine so the pages come out in the right order and I know that most imposition software does creep wrong, so I do that manually.

Sector Experience

25 years in print, including 20-odd years as a designer and layout artist., I recently did a World Cup Fixtures Calendar for iCal, which has been available for download from the Apple Website. It featured in the Most Popular Downloads for three weeks, peaking at number 5.
