About me
I have been working as a Designer and Animator for several years and have been freelancing for the design company Airside for some time. Prior to this I worked on the animated film Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. Before freelancing I spent two years working for Condor Post Production where I gained a sound knowledge of the post production process.
My experience is outlined in my CV. I have expanded on certain aspects below.
While at Airside I directed an animated pilot called Storyman. The animation was developed from a recording of an interview with David Walliams. My role included concept design, storyboarding, editing sound audio and animation. I directed the animators and supervised the sound edit. I also worked hands on producing 3d sequences and compositing the final movie. This project gave me a geat opportunity to be creative and to lead in a more supervisory role. I am now keen to expand on this experience.
During Corpse Bride I worked alongside the A rt Director creating graphics and illustrations including wallpaper designs, colour designs for the animated characters and matte paintings. I also painted textures using Photoshop for models of buildings and props. The work was very hands on, and I gained experience in all areas of the Art Department, but was particularly involved with the painters and modelmakers.
I am also an avid illustrator, always carry a sketchbook and draw what surrounds me.
