About me

I am a passionate and experienced education resource development editor and History specialist, with over 15 years' experience across a range of subjects at Key Stages 1-5. I was a Senior Content and Learning Specialist (Development Editor) and project lead at Pearson UK, and am now a full-time freelance editor, author and consultant. I work on a range of education, academic, and trade publishing. I offer a range of expertise and skills:

- Copy-editing, proofreading, fact-checking

- Reversioning and authoring work

- Market and competitor research, product trialling

- Picture research, photography, text and media permissions clearance

- Edexcel History tour reviewer and consultant

Additionally, I offer support to independent self-publishing authors with their novels, a new area I am keen to expand. I can offer both structural/consistency checks and detailed copy-editing and fact checks. I also offer limited copy-editing services to students to help polish theses and dissertations.
