About me

Qualified digital video producer with two years production experience including pre to post production. Experienced with Sony PD150 Camera, Final Cut Pro, Avid 5.5, Adobe Premier and Elements. I have both studio and location production experience including a number of live internet streaming broadcasts for Epic Studios where I am camera operator.

Since 2010 I have been volunteering at BBC Voices. BBC Voices is a media workshop and production unit based at The Forum in Norwich. It offers practical media based skills to the public, adults and children. BBC Voices regularly films bands in their studio and I have operated across a range of tasks, from filming to vision mixing, floor managing, lighting and set design and post production. In addition, I have been out on site with BBC Voices, working on film workshops in schools. I have a YouTube channel which provides a show reel and a number of projects that I have worked on at BBC Voices which can be provided if required.

Some of the projects I have worked on included supporting Norfolk Age UK who asked for help to complete a age awareness campaign for their YouTube channel. I provided technical editing support and one to one editing support and the conversion of digital media files. I liaised with Age UK project leader Ruth Goram via email and once the production was online I received a letter of thanks from Norfolk Age UK Chief Executive Hilary Macdonald thanking myself and Gary Standley who is the producer of BBC Voices Norwich for the support provided.

At present for BBC Voices, I am promoting local music acts and events around the Norfolk area. I am required to regularly produces 30-40 second promotional material which is showcased on BBC Introducing social networking web pages and channels including Facebook, tumblr and YouTube. This project requires time organisation, corresponding with local music acts and promoters, regularly updating my producer of progression, filming and editing material, uploading and promoting material on social networking sites and adhering to all BBC Editorial guidelines.

BBC Introducing has continued to attract a steady number of views on YouTube and I have received a number of emails from bands and promoters thanking me for promoting their events. This has enabled the YouTube Introducing in Norfolk channel to attract over 30,000 views to date and still rising.
