About me

My practice revolves around the exploration of human vision through photography, looking at themes such as perception, phenomenology, light, objects, and nature's way of healing and nourishing man. I use Photography as a way of representing these ideas and use multiple exposures to suggest how new perceptions merge with existing ones. Through these theories about perception, vision and light the work explores; how the build up of knowledge through the senses can create a more accustomed account of the relationship we have to the external world. My work is deeply associated with themes of a more photographic nature, experimenting with techniques that are inherent within the medium, incorporating many of the techniques that allow a photograph to transpire. By incorporating all these different effects my images challenge what we know about the world through vision, which consequently constructs a challenging and stimulating impression on the viewer.

The work I produce is all shot on film either with a medium format of large format camera that allows greater enlargements of the work. I like my work to be printed bigger that A1 as I feel this is the best way to view my work.

After university I have continued to make frames to a very high standard
