DEANPRINT LIMITED Estimating, Purchasing & Financial Manager: 2005 - September 2012, Manual / Computerised estimation of all enquiries using litho, digital, in-house finishing & outsourcing when required. Was instrumental in the Tharsten MIS being installed and this went live in May 2010., Design & confirm specifications for all enquiries., Liaise with the Sales Team & Production Team on a daily basis., Responsible for the purchasing & maintenance of stock levels., From November 2011 I have been involved extensively on the financial side of the business also., Senior Print & Bookbinding Estimator: 2001 - 2005, Upon my return to Deanprint Ltd under the title of Senior Estimator one of my main responsibilities has been the manual estimation of all the enquiries from the sales team, direct from the public & also companies within the printing industry. In addition to this I am responsible for the large corporate accounts held. , My responsibility continues from the initial enquiry from the customer until final completion of the order. I am pro-active in a sales capacity and have indeed been instrumental in the conception and method for most of the orders received. On a daily basis I instruct and assist the sales team in whichever capacity is required on that day., Through my determination, initiative and innovation I have been instrumental in the very significant increase in production, turnover and profitability of Deanprint Ltd over the last 4 years., B & P SCREENPRINT LTD Estimator / Account Handler: 2000 - 2001, Here I was given the title of Estimator / Account Handler. I and one other colleague were given the responsibility of quoting for all the new customers not currently dealt with on a day to day basis. I was also involved with some of the larger accounts including ARCADIA, HSBC, TIME COMPUTERS and SCOTTISH POWER / POWER HOUSE where certain seasonal promotions comprising of all aspect of store decoration for the national store coverage had to be catered for. Indeed, I was solely responsible for the Christmas promotion for TIME COMPUTERS and CARPET WORLD December 2000., My time here was interesting & informative about the whole process of screen printing from conception to fruition. Also the methods and equipment involved in the processes. I was certainly thrown in at the deep end but I swam., I was invited to return to Deanprint Ltd and did so. , DEANPRINT LTD Print & Bookbinding Estimator: 1996 - 2000, I was employed at Deanprint Ltd in Cheadle for almost 5 years under the title of Estimator. Here I gained computer experience with the Windows packages. My responsibilities included the manual estimation of all enquiries from the sales team, direct from the public and also companies within the printing industry. This involved the assessment of the enquiry in all aspects, from the feasibility to the profitability of the job. I was in communication with many paper manufacturers and merchants on a daily basis with regards to the negotiation of paper prices and supply., Also I was greatly involved with the costing & assessment of all the completed orders and was in discussion with the production team with regards the results. Indeed I also ran a sizeable contract for a Government Agency which included daily data input, stock level supervision and replenishment, report formation and reconciliation plus invoicing. Whilst I was employed with Deanprint Ltd I was instrumental in the computerisation of all records regarding estimates, sales, and spreadsheets, quarterly and annual reports., NWS BANK Sales Consultant: 1995 - 1996, I was employed by the NWS Bank, a subsidiary of The Bank of Scotland, at the Warrington Business Centre., Here I gained computer experience with the IBM, TCS and FEPS Sales and Banking Packages. My responsibilities included the marketing and sales of personal finance between 1 & 15K, including Credit Card, Master Care, Life Care, DHP, GAP, and Insurance. The knowledge I have gained also includes the Data Protection Act, Consumer Credit Act 1974 and the Psychology of Buying and Selling. , Whilst being employed by NWS Bank I was continually assessed with a minimum pass score of 85%, I consistently scored 100%., THOMAS COOK Sales Consultant: 1993 - 1995, I was employed by the Thomas Cook Group of Companies in the Bureau De Change Office in Terminal 1 & 2 at Manchester Airport. Here I gained computer experience with the Pedro and Brazil point of sale packages., My responsibilities included the daily processing and balance of the whole accounting function. The British Airways, Caledonian and British World Airlines flight sales accounting was another function I was responsible for. Whilst being employed with Thomas Cook I trained and supervised all new sales consultants to become proficient in their function by implementing my own training schedule., Due to my accounting experience prior to my employment with Thomas Cook I was asked to take on the responsibility of the ‘Stock Till’ - i.e. ‘The Company’s Safes’, repeatedly. One of the requirements of this was the accepting from Securicor sometimes in excess of £2,000,000 worth of foreign currencies on a daily basis., AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION General Processor (On Contract): 1992 - 1993, I was employed by the Automobile Association in Cheadle Hulme, working within their Vehicle Inspection Department. This enabled me to gain experience with the Chameleon Package used for accounts and credit control, also the Visor Package used for Vehicle Inspection Bookings., C.H. & W PICKFORD Trainee Accountant: 1991 - 1992, I was employed by C.H. & W Pickford, Chartered Accountants in Chorlton-Cum-Hardy and Macclesfield where I gained further computer experience on the Paxus Accounting system. My computer experience included data processing, word processing and financial modelling. The firm employed me on clients of various sizes with various turnovers from several thousand to several million. My work included book keeping, VAT returns, general processing and auditing. Due to the economic climate at that time, I was made redundant from this firm in 1992., NEVILLE RUSSELL Trainee Accountant: 1990 - 1991, Upon completion of my ‘A’ levels, I was employed by Neville Russell, Chartered Accountants in Stockport. There I gained computer experience with the HIPS and HPFA Accounting systems on the Hewlett Packard. I corrected, reconciled and validated the daily, weekly and monthly reports of the total accounting function for Neville Russell’s largest client DELCO ELECTRONICS, a subsidiary of GENERAL MOTORS USA. From those reports I kept my own records which were used for accounting purposes.
