Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you regarding the recent advertisement (Ref: ) for the position of Digital Designer.

As you can see from my enclosed CV, I have a wealth of experience in Sales and Administration and now want to transfer my skills into the Graphic Design field. The role advertised would be an amazing opportunity to learn, progress and build on the skills that I have already gained.

I am currently studying Dreamweaver and HTML5/CSS3 on two Part time courses to improve my knowledge and understanding of web design/development, this will add to my proficiency using the industry-standard design packages of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. I have over 3 years' experience using Photoshop to create a number of projects including brochure, posters, logos and web site designs, as well as photo manipulation work including retouching.

I take great pride in the design work I create and always strive to deliver clean, clear and concise products. I am a creative, focused and hardworking designer, and with the experience gained from my previous sales role, I have proven to work extremely well with clients - assessing their needs and goals, I have a great knowledge and understanding of the retail sector and can manage workloads to meet deadlines, all of which make me a strong candidate for this role.
