Having seen the above vacancy on the creativepool.co.uk website, I would like to apply for the position of Design Manager. Please find following my CV, which I hope will give you all the information you need to make an initial judgement regarding my suitability, but I would like to draw your attention to my experience of:

- account management, project management, presentation and production skills;

- internal and external client management, formulating briefs and liaising with

designers and suppliers;

- working on own initiative, with good organisational, time management and administration skills and an eye for detail;

- well-developed communication and teamwork skills, able to work with, manage and motivate colleagues to mutual benefit.

I am looking for a design management role within the creative services industry where the skills and knowledge gained over my creative career can be utilised.

Over the past few years my career has been moving more towards account management and running small design teams rather than just being a creative designer. It is an area of the creative business that I very much enjoy and feel that this is where my future career will be if given the opportunity to prove myself. Your respect and passion for your business, hunger for success and commitment to teamwork are work ethics that I fully adhere to. I strongly believe that encouraging and motivating team members makes for a happy and successful work environment and have always used this approach with all my work colleagues even when I was not in a management position. The opportunity to be in a business where I can be involved in delivering the trend, development and product development for Christmas 2D sounds particularly exciting and very fulfilling.

Due to being made redundant, I am currently working part time at a garden centre as well as freelancing as a designer and project manager and am available to start at short notice if required.

The skills I have developed during my career would seem to be relevant to the advertised position and I hope that you will find my application to be of interest.
