About me

Dear Sir/Madam

I'm a 23 year old Swedish designer whose sole goal is to improve as a designer, both artistically and communication-wise. I love to work creatively and design things that are not only aesthetically pleasing but that can also communicate with the intended target group in an efficient manner.

I'm a positive, very creative and meticulous designer as well as a great team player. With a bachelors degree in Graphic Design as well as one in Media and Communications Science I do understand the value of communication and all my design work is based on sound communicative principles. I feel that design must have a purpose and that purpose is more often than not to communicate a specific meaning to its recipients. For this reason I believe that it's often just as important, if not more so, that my design communicates its meaning well than it looking beautiful. Like I mentioned earlier I'm a great team player and very easy to work with, but I'm also fully capable of working on my own, and have no problems taking initiative and getting things done. I feel comfortably working with both traditional and digital media, and have no issues with working under pressure, tight deadlines or in stressful environments.

I recently fulfilled a 3 month fixed-term employment at the design agency Antrop in Stockholm, Sweden. During my time at Antrop I was working in a two man team on a project meant to bring new innovative ideas on how the Swedish healthcare system could more efficiently communicate with its patients. The project involved a lot of creative thinking ­as well as user interviews with patients and doctors alike. It also included user-testing of our concepts, design in both digital media as well as print and several client meetings and client presentations. I started working on this project just a couple of days after finishing my degree at Mid Sweden University.

Personally I'm a very curious person with a big interest in technology, whether it's the new exciting possibilities brought on by HTML5 or the latest smart phone. I love problem solving and learning new things, and I really do try to see each problem as an opportunity to learn something new.

I'm a young and hungry new graphic designer that realizes that I still have a lot to learn, and I'm looking forward to learn everything I can, particularly if it will help me grow as a designer. I'm ready for a challenge and for a change of scenery, that's why I'm hoping to leave Sweden and hopefully gain a new perspective on not only life, but design and creativity as well.
