About me
My name is Patricia and I am a Product Designer based in Oxford, England. I graduated in Industrial Design Engineering and Product Development from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, in 2015.
In my current role I am leading Blackwell's shop design development. I work in close cooperation with architects, contractors, booksellers, and users. My job is to envision and conceptualise innovative retail experiences and translate them into physical environments, supporting the process with sketches, imagery, 3D CAD models and technical drawings. I am also in charge of creating bespoke fixtures and furniture pieces to meet project requirements, taking into consideration budget and timing constrictions in every stage of the project. Among some of my biggest projects is the new Blackwell's Bookshop in the Westgate Centre in Oxford, and I'm currently working in two new store design for our new shops in Manchester and Belfast.
I see design as a way of living. We are all involved with design in one way or another. We design our lives; we solve everyday problems by finding solutions. And I truly believe that in the end, this is what it is all about: create solutions to make our world a better place to live in.
