About me

I have extensive experience within the Graphics Industry, and I am a competent user of Quark Express, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe In Design. Last year I undertook a part-time course in Web design using Dreamweaver and Fireworks. My experience allows me to optimize graphics for both print and web design. I also have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. I can utilise all the above software on both conventional PC's and Apple Macintosh.

During my career I have developed sound working patterns, and I have the ability to take a design from initial idea through to the finished article. I can liaise effectively with clients, printers, partnerships and my colleagues to ensure good quality design solutions are achieved and deadlines are met. I have designed a large range of products, from leaflets, posters, exhibitions, newsletters, annual reports and specialist reports ranging from a few pages to a few hundred pages. I have also designed a number of logos for individuals and groups.

A lot of my experience has been within organisations that have required a strong corporate style. I have lots of experience of ensuring that the corporate image is utilised correctly and I am experienced in advising clients on how to use it in a practical and correct manner. I also have a good track record of dealing with partnership groups and ensuring that all parties are happy with the end design.
