I am writing to apply for the position of Lead User Experience Designer that is currently open with you.

I am a designer with substantive experience in the field of Interaction Design. I have been working as an independent consultant for last many years and I have experience of carrying out design projects for my own clients as well as for educational and research establishments.

At present, I continue my role as an interaction design consultant while working as a researcher with the School of Medicine, Umeå University. Additionally, I also teach at the Umeå Institute of Design where I have been involved in shaping some of the best design talents in the world. I have been considering progressing for some time and would love to take up a role, which would present a different challenge entirely.

Over the years as an interaction designer I have dealt with many design projects involving diverse design contexts. Working on such design projects has allowed me to obtain high level of skills in applying User Centred Design. I have also been involved in management of many such projects within commercial, educational and research settings. Additionally, my PhD in interaction design has allowed me to gain a competitive edge in the area of design research.

I am confident that such skills will aid me greatly and allow me to contribute positively to overall objectives of the company. You will find that I have an excellent work ethic, and I am exceptionally hard working and willing to learn to improve my performance in the workplace.
