Sir / MadamMy name is Paolo Micheli, and I am a 27 year old Italian. I have recently moved to London as I want to broaden my knowledge in the field of Building Service Engineering and Architecture. I am therefore contacting your company to enquire whether there are any opportunities to be employed in the highly professional and stimulating environment your firm offers.In October 2007 I received my degree in Building Engineering and Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano, with a final mark of 103 out of a possible maximum of 110. My studies had a strong emphasis on sustainable architecture, and I particularly focused on the newest technologies and analysis methods for the evaluation of building components from a technical physics perspective.
Whilst at university I came second in a worldwide competition that required our team to put together a project for the transformation of a military site into a new residential area, where an emphasis was required on the environmental aspects of all the design phases of the project.From the beginning of 2008 I have worked at two architectural and engineering firms in Milan, OPWS and NEWEN. Through these two companies I have developed my professional experience of working with clients, and within teams including a number of other contractors operating alongside my firm, and also of dealing with public administrators.I would truly like to work with your company as I believe that I have a lot of skills to offer you, and that you will give me the opportunity to broaden and develop my professional experience.
