Dear sir/madam:

I am writing in regards to the possibility of employment as a Photo Editor with your company. I would be interested in learning more about the company and available position.

Having worked as a Photo Editor and Photographer in the past I feel that I am a suitable candidate for employment with your company. For nearly three years my work as a studio based Portrait Photographer has given me a keen eye for detail. Undertaking the process completely, I post-processed my images in Adobe Photoshop CS3 for sizing, colour correction and necessary retouching before printing. I have exceptional knowledge of this software.

I am a Travel Photographer at heart and find my passion for both independently complement each other perfectly. I have been fortunate to have travelled extensively and wish to continue so. As a Production and Design assistant with GALWAYnow magazine, I understand the editorial nature of the publishing sector, both print and digital. I was responsible for liaising with producers and stockists of clothing and lifestyle products in sourcing high quality images for various publications. On occasion, personally undertaking photo shoots when images were scarce. I also had the opportunity to create media packs and promotional material.

As a creative individual, I have undertaken many artistic positions. I currently do freelance graphic design and photography work with a health food line undertaking their packaging and promotional projects. I developed Christmas cards and promotional material for the Photography studio. I have undertaken many design projects for family businesses. I have created online e-learning lessons as a Flash web animator.

Having received an Honours Degree in Audio Visual Media, I feel that I would be a suitable candidate for employment with your company. I specialised in Photography and Multimedia. As well as having the necessary technical skills and experience, I feel that I would thrive in a busy environment. I have excellent communications skills and adaptability.

I am hard working and organised. I work well in a team-based environment and I take instruction easily. I am thorough in my work and meet my deadlines. I have a friendly and outgoing personality. I have a strong love of music, especially live music. I enjoy exercise classes and making jewellery.
