Experiences within the media:

Work experience with Twofour Broadcasting Company (starting 22nd August) working on a London Production.

Internship with National Geographic Kids Magazine where I was mentored by the Chief Editor, Lauren Jarvis. For this I interviewed David de Rotherschild, attended his talk at Selfridges and also interviewed Sylvia Earle. This all led to me writing my own 2 page feature which was published in the November 2011 edition of the National Geographic Kids magazine.

Internship with About.com - writing articles for the Geography Section

I attended a celebrity fundraiser for YOUYOU (who selected me for the mentoring scheme with National Geographic Kids Magazine) in June where I gave a speech as an ambassador for YOUYOU and was lucky enough to meet Beverley Knight, Brix Smith Start, The Feeling, Guy Chambers and many more.

Interviewed by BBC Merseyside as I was invited to attend the Q music awards 2011, representing YOUYOU where I was in the Gift Lounge meeting nominees and winners including Ed Sheeran, Noel Gallagher, Suzie Sioux, Jessie J, Carl Cox, Keith Lemon, Joey Barton, Estelle and Biffy Clyro.

Work experience at Juice FM - learning about how professional radio stations work, the software they use and I will be returning to gain more experience and work with each different team member.

I am the News Editor King's College London's radio station.

I have attended selected master classes (question and answer sessions) with Sophie Thompson, Sienna Miller, Joan Collins and Sheridan Smith

Libel and Legal defamation training course - qualified

I have performed once in London's West End in the “Young Royal Variety Performance.”

I have been an extra on Waterloo Road.

I have obtained the London Academy of Musical and Dramatical Awards (LAMDA) - qualifying to Grade 6.

I was a main role in a short film (“The Wages of Sin”) entering UK and American Film Festivals.

I have performed with numerous stage schools since I was 4 years old including Stagecoach, Liverpool institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) and Wirral Academy Performing Arts (WAPA) - performing in a variety of theatres including The Liverpool Philharmonic, Liverpool Empire, The Lowry and The Floral Pavilion.

I have attended acting and film courses with two actors from Brookside - Suzanne Collins and Ann Marie Davies - where I explored the journey of taking a script onto the screen, casting and roles in production. I also looked in detail at characters and directions and learnt about the different camera shots. I also acted in a short film which was sent to the National Lottery for future funding.

I was selected to be the voice over (about exam advice) which will be put on my university's website.

I have undergone work experience in youth theatre (InterAct) for a week - learning about how a small business works, the finances, planning involved for each class.
