Dear Sirs - Graphic Designer
I am very interested in the role advertised and would like you to consider my application for this vacancy.
I am a very conscientious hard working individual who thrives on challenges and is able to work to deadlines ensuring that all work is completed to an exceptionally high standard and always to the clients' requirements. My passion is interior design and I am interested in pursuing a career in commercial properties. I am a good team player but also more than capable of working alone.
I completed a 2 year course studying graphic design- BTEC level 3 at Canterbury College in 2012, where I gained 3 Distinctions. The course included usage of various software and I am proficient in the following programmes on a Mac: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Flash, which enabled me to produce work of a excellent standard. I also combined these with traditional processes such as printing and illustration methods and materials.
I believe I have the relevant experience and passion for designing brochures and advertising for your company and would love the opportunity to discuss how I would be a valuable member of your team. As noted in my CV I have relevant experience including excellent skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). I am currently at Vitra's London Head Office on a two week work experience where I am creating Plans for office's, rooms, and also editing photos with the Design team for a business presentation . This involves discussing with the clients their requirements and working closely with the Design team using Photoshop, Project Planner and CAD software to produce the final designs. I also completed a week's work experience at a company in London called PPI, a design, print, storage and distribution company. I helped out designing logo's, brochures, leaflets and Christmas cards for clients. I learnt about all the process of how they deal with the clients and how about they go about the orders they get on a daily basis.
