About me
Creativity is everything to me. Whether I have been praised for ideas and concepts that have an edge or being told to put a cap on some for being a bit to 'out there', being creative puts a smile on my face. It is my belief that my passion for photography stems from this. The ability to create and freeze moments in time, manipulated or conceptualised in such ways that give my work their thought out, yet natural feel not only satisfies me, but gives me the confidence to produce work in exciting, clever ways.
I enjoy working towards goals in my photographic practice, not just running around with a camera and thinking 'oh that looks cool' (although that can be fun). Briefs and client guidance is always something that I appreciate as it allows my creative flow to sync with a target and reach it in innovative and original ways.
A lot of my work over the recent years revolves around fashion and portraiture, my 2 favourite areas of photography. Working for Urban Industry allowed me to see the more commercial side of things and really plan out shot lists, location hunting and lighting styles to suit different types of clothing brands. This is a skill that I am excited to apply to more than just fashion but to still life and portraiture too.
