Process:

Understanding composition with materials combining technique with texture while appreciating volume are all the key principles to Jewellery for Omay - without having any experience in those areas photographing jewellery may be considered to be a challenging task.

Omay combines all his early experiences from his studies BA (hons) and Masters in ( jewellery / metalwork + design ) and then his years as an art director helping to create visual identities for brands. Applying this with his knowledge of lighting allows him to provided a service which results in capturing powerful portraits for all types of jewellery.

With always the gentle true in mind. This meaning to avoid the generic over animated product photos that gives an almost flat interpretation, which allows no real texture or depth leaving nothing tangible for our eyes.
