About me
My name is Omar Amin and I'm a junior graphic designer. I've studied at the London College of Printing and at Ravensbourne College where I completed a BA hons Degree in Design Communication and specialised in interaction design. After graduating I worked for two years at Empower New Media in Rotherhithe as an Interactive Designer working on a broad range of Web and New Media Projects including designing interactive CD Roms and Touchscreen Kiosks. After leaving Empower I worked as an Office Junior for the Department of Health involving data input for the financial records system of their Media Campaign department, a Reprographics and Design Assistant for Alpha Print which included serving customers, designing letterheads and business cards, and have most recently been working as a freelance designer with a number of design agencies most recently at World Archipelago in Fulham.
I have a good set of production and design skills ranging from print graphics to various interactive design media. I can work across both Mac and PC platforms and can author CDs accordingly. As part of these skills I have a good working knowledge of a number of design and production applications.
I primarily enjoy design as an outlet for my creative side, which also includes an interest in creative writing, film and art, and I consider myself a versatile and capable worker who has a passion for creativity in all its forms.
