About me
I am a textiles designer and have been working in Vietnam for a large furniture company for the past two and a half years where I set up and ran the textiles department. I have been designing fabrics for many of their furniture collections including an embroidery range sold in Harrods, textiles for the Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg and for Pavlosk Palace.
I have a fabulous eye for detail and a real love of colour and design, I gather inspiration from wherever I go, whether it be the souks of India, the night markets of Asia or the Grand Palaces of Russia and the country houses of England.
My work is a juxtaposition of historic reference and contemporary design and color. I studied Printed Textiles at Loughborough University and was head-hunted by my previous company at New Designers 2005. Design is a passionate part of my life, creating ideas and seeing them moving through the production process to the final article, is what I adore above all else. Being surrounded by visually beautiful and interesting objects, sounds, sights and the inspirational mixture of cultures, is what has developed my devotion to design.
