About me

I have been a graphic designer for over 9 years and have gained inspiration and experience on my excursion. I went to Chelmsford College for 5years as soon as I left school then gained my foundation degree in art and design and Graphics. I completed my course with a distinction then set up small freelance projects to show a variety of styles, brand awareness and creativity I have to offer.

From the experience doing freelancing in all aspects of design I set up my own freelance company a few years back and recruited two members of staff to help and support my work load. I became competent in dealing with accounts, paying wages and handling cash and direct debits (which was useful from my previous job in retail managing a Jewellery shop in Connolly Jewellers Braintree Essex) with my management experience.

Gaining my past experience as a Retail Manager and multitasking in my previous Job at Dream Creative, I have worked on various aspects of communications, strategy, planning and organization along with analysis and research. I have achieved managing teams and working on overseeing the visual expression of clients brands, applying their brand guidelines and standards.

When I was made redundant I was seeking work in 2009 I took up a hobby with the funds I had left over from my Redundancy pay. I created my own vintage horror clothing store online called endofdaysclothing.com.

I had a variety of illustrations I had done years ago and done nothing with them, then thought that they would look good on a teeshirt so I had them printed. I still currently run endofdaysclothing.com in my spare time. It doesn't pay much as I only make the money back that I have spent on printing and products but like a say its only a hobby and I enjoy just getting my illustrations out there.

Also in my spare time I help contribute organizing charity events for the summer which has been going for a few years now. it called Invasion Colchester and we dress up as famous hero's and villains and Comic Book Characters. Yes Its rather geeky but I really enjoy doing it as we raise money for good causes and its such a rewarding experience!

I was a web developer and designer in my previous job role with Dreamcreative and gained experience creating engaging creating usable sites in Wordpress., The Catogory in the Desingn filed that marks my strength is graphic design and artworking., I have also maintained 100% client satisfaction with clients by designing for their needs and specifications., With my expertise in software i mainly use Adobe Creative Suite, (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and have a firm standard software on Mac and PC platform
