About me
I am a London based freelance makeup artists and beauty director that has worked Nationally and Internationally across Film, Fashion, Beauty & Bridal Makeup and has demonstrated history of working in the cosmetics industry, both freelance and in Retail Management . I have over 5 years experience in Makeup & Beauty industry and I am proud to have achieved a BA Honours in Makeup and Prosthetics for Media and Performance. The nature of my degree gave me 3 years extensive knowledge of shoots, and shoot organisation, which have then advanced when moving into the professional fashion and commercial photography/videography industry. I am not only skilled in all areas of makeup artistry including Bridal, Beauty, Prosthetic, Drag and male grooming but have had significant experience working with all ages, races and genders and types of people, whether they are models, actors, colleagues or public.
Throughout my career I have demonstrated a real passion for both artistry and business whilst working in retail management and for International brand MAC Cosmetic. During my time with MAC I acted as a Product Specialist, winning 4 of 6 national competitions due my event coordination, and leadership, artistry and educational skills. As well as this I have assisted in facilitating large national training sessions at estee lauder HQ, and ran in store events for new product launches. In addition to working for MAC I also have retail experience at Selfridges London with Nars and Laura Mercier and have self starter knowledge from creating my own freelance company ' Mimi Rose London'. Delivering effortlessly beautiful looks, playing with colour, becoming an expert of product knowledge, delivering a first class service, educating my peers and clients and working with both women & men of all ages and skin types are my favourite things about being in the business of Makeup .
In addition, not only have I had experience with directing and managing teams , and educating large groups, I have also attended large events such as IMATS with MAC cosmetics, as well as representing Nars & Laura Mercier at Stylist Live London. I believe that my positive outlook, natural ability to network and lead, creative eye, management skills, social media knowledge and my extensive professional knowledge of the makeup/hair/beauty industry; adaptable, professional, motivated personality means I flourish working as both an individual and as part of a successful team.
