About me

I have just completed my degree in Illustration and Visual Communications at The University of Westminster. Drawing is for me, everything. Within my work it helps to add a sense of dreaminess allowing me to use a free, open and varied quality of line. I like to draw in a stylized way, taking real objects but placing them in a place of colour and thoughts. My drawing is then combined with a variety of other materials to allow a playful creative process to take place adding textures and depth to the imagery. I consider my illustrative style to be distinctive, whimsical and experimental.

My specialized area of illustration is children's books, from the narrative to the images and the typography. There is a strong essence of morality, innocent childhood ideals and the benefits these can have on a young audience. I am interested strongly in aiding a childs development through literature and picture books which deal with challenging issues that can help them emotionally and educationally, combining imaginary events with reality.

I am keen to delve into many other areas of illustration and am open to any opportunity or creative challenge which comes my way.
