About me

Dear sir or madam,

My name is Oliver Lincoln, I feel I am ideally suited for this Jumior Copywriter role because I have a wealth of writing experience, a 2:1 degree in Media and Journalism that taught me how to write for different outlets, audiences and purposes, I also have the ability to work well under pressure and an interest in fashion.

While studying for my degree in Media and Journalism at Northumbria University I worked and wrote for two years with the Team Northumbria Media Team. Team Northumbria is Northumbria University's sporting arm and my role with the media team involved attending weekly fixtures, interviewing players and coaches before writing a match report as close to the final whistle as possible, which was then published online, in student magazines and in the university's prospectus. In my second year I was promoted to Chief Sports Writer.

I learnt a lot from this role, it was great writing experience and helped my proofing and writing under pressure skills. It also shows a passion for writing, taking up this role alongsie my university studies and excelling in both. I have also written and worked for the BBC on their election coverage, Newcastle's Evening Chronicle and Journal newspapers, the Newcastle Eagles basketball team match-day programme as well as various websites too.

All this writing experience shows my passion and flair at writing and why I would be able to succeed in this role, I would love writing daily for my job and getting paid for it too. I hope to hear back from you soon because I was excited to read the job description and I feel it is something I am more than capable of doing.
