This looks like a fantastic opportunity and I am confident that I inhabit all of the skills required for this role with more to offer. I have extensive experience working as a video editor whilst being an operations executive and producer, and have demonstrated these competencies during my time at Base79, CNN and MTV Base.
Being a relatively long standing employee of a Base79, YouTube's largest provider of original content, I have developed the skills to be an all round player looking after a wide variety of partners who produce entertainment, sports, music and gaming. I spend the majority of my working hours both filming and editing film using Final Cut X and the Adobe Suite. I currently manage the company's full studio kit (Camera, Lights & Sound) liaising with partners and 3rd party companies who wish to hire equipment for shoots.
I am YouTube Certified in the areas of Audience Growth & Production. I also have extensive experience in producing and uploading optimized videos to websites whilst managing the CMS. Working on the operations team allowed me to focus on rights management, which involved liaising with rights holders on an international scale resolving territorial conflicts securing revenue assurance, making sure our partners maximize their return on the content they own on YouTube and multiple platforms.
Being a graduate in BA Film & Television Studies, I can confidently testify that my passion for media was fueled by teachers who spent time teaching the essentials and equipping us with the tools to go out and create, bringing ideas to life using the skills and techniques acquired over the years. I would love to be in a position where I can help to continue this, starting off an assistant with aspirations to further my career in education.
I take pride in having articulate verbal and written communication skills, both when liaising with colleagues, partners and social media followers. I am a resourceful, highly self-motivated and enthusiastic employee, and I enjoy and understand the importance of adhering to deadlines and targets, and I'm used to the task of working on numerous projects at one time. I enjoy meeting and getting to know new people and work successfully and efficiently with both my status peers and senior members of staff.
