About me
my name is Olga Neumanova, I am a Czech designer, photographer and translator.
Although I do not have a degree in Graphic Design, but in Linguistics; however, several years ago, I have made the decision to become a designer, as I discovered this is the most fulfilling and rewarding job I can do. For the past two years, I have been working as a designer in a small, Prague-based studio Lacerta (*), and I also work as a freelance photographer, extensively using photography in my designs.
Working in a small studio has provided me with hands-on experience of the whole design process, from the project's inception through to completion, i.e. print. I may say that 90% of all my designs so far were used in the real-world evironment, so I am skilled in finding that perfect solution for a client, no matter how special his requirements are or how limited his budget is. I may also say that I have always been lucky to work on demanding projects from the cultural and non-profit scene, never having to compromise my standards.
Nevertheless, I feel I am still at the beginning of my journey, with lots to develop and plenty to learn. Now, I need to move on in order to achieve this. I would like to gain experience in the more demanding and competitive design environment in the UK, and I am eager to contribute my specific skills to the success of a design team.
