Ladies and Gentlemen

I am a highly dedicated and creative designer with great education, respectable experience and an absolute "can do"-attitude. Please find enclosed my CV and my portfolio, which I am forwarding to you as an application.

I started to work in the graphic arts industry in 2006 as an art worker and designer, later graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication from the Academy of Art and Design Basel, Switzerland, and have been working as a graphic designer since than, both in an agency and as a freelancer.

I am mainly a branding, publication and print designer and have broad commercial experience in different sectors. I am used to work to corporate guidelines but am also skilled to develop new concepts and lead them to an excellent result with a great eye for typography and layout. My devotion and inventive talent lead to designs off the beaten track, executed with a lot of love to form and detail. I have a very analytic and strategic mindset and have already been part of brand creation / strategy in different sectors.

During my last employment as a graphic designer in an agency, amongst others I was in charge of all the design for a middle-size brand (including poster-campaigns, packaging and web). That gave me great multi-tasking skills, the ability to manage multiple deadlines and dependability.

I have experience in publication design and worked for a regional paper as a layouter / designer.

As I work as an independent designer, too, I am experienced in the whole design process from beginning to end. As I worked in printing, my understanding of art work and print processes are professional. I am also a strong communicator, I grew up within different cultures and speak 5 languages fluent, it's easy for me to connect with different people.

My Adobe CS skills in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat are excellent, I also have good knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic knowledge in HTML, Dreamweaver, Flash, Cinema4D, Final Cut.
