About me

I have a passion for audio-visual production at all levels and through my media work have developed relevant production skills. As a Junior Producer/Researcher I have worked on programmes on health issues, politics, religious freedom and human rights issues and have been required to single-handedly produce programme segments for some projects, as well as co-producing as part of a team for others. In this role I have had to apply the following skills: sound editorial judgement, paper edits and edit supervision, script reading and writing, written and oral communication, interviewing, pitching, people management, project management and drafting budgets. I am also accustomed to working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and responding appropriately to last minute requirements. In addition I have read and recorded voice-overs for programmes, floor managed live shows and supervised edits.

I have been involved in a wide cross-section of factual programming. These have ranged from documentaries exploring the new legislation pertaining to civil unions and gay rights in the form of the Civil Partnership Bill and as live broadcasts. Working on these projects I have developed the art of building positive relationships with contributors, presenters and crew as well as using diplomacy to resolve difficult personalities and situations.

In my spare time I have dedicated a lot of energy to personal documentary work and podcast productions.
