Dear sirs,

I would like to apply for the position of Web Designer.

I'm particularly interested in a job in your company because it would be a great opportunity to match my skills with my needs.

My Name is Nuno Mendonça, I'm from Portugal and although I don't live in London at the moment, I plan to move there as soon as possible.

Working mainly as an IT Systems Analyst for over 7 years I have gained a solid experience creating dynamic websites from scratch, using Adobe PhotoShop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and Flash, as well as image, video and audio editing, creating logos and banners.

I was also placed first on a 2004 Web Design contest at the regional level (Algarve) for the WorldSkills project.

Although my main function at my previous job wasn't web design, I have no problems using any of the software mentioned and I am highly motivated and look forward to the welcome challenge which a position in your company would offer me.

I also have a great experience troubleshooting and solving all different kinds of software applications, operating systems (MS Windows mainly) and hardware, either on location, through phone and / or remote assistance software; general customer service; basic HTML and PHP programming; and creating a solid connection with customers.

My weakness is perhaps not having a college degree because I started working as soon as I finished my Level 4 multimedia course to help my unemployed father at home, but I have gained a lot of work experience since the beggining of my professional life.

I get easily adapted to new work conditions and places, and I'm a good and fast learner.

Even when working at high speed, I do not neglect accuracy and when under pressure I can maintain high standards.
