About me
I've been working at YDreams for the last few years, where I racked up a lot of experience in developing interactive applications among a highly professional and inspirational team.
Working close with designers has also ensured me that even though my expertise isn't designing I now have a very keen eye for detail, it also greatly improved my communication skills.
The projects over at YDreams have required handling a large set of different software related skills, but I guess I can say my favorite weapons of choice so far have been:
- As far as languages go I'de have to rank Actionscript 3.0 as my #1 favorite, a lot of fun and really versatile, often running on Air runtime.
- Flex, the Eclipse based IDE for most development (aka Flash Builder).
- Flash the IDE used for design handling, with the occasional use of Photoshop and Illustrator to fix things up.
The usual plugins and engines of choice being:
- TweenMax/Lite/Nano for animating
- Flint for particle systems management
- Papervision3D or Away3D as 3D engines
- APE and Box2D for physics
- Usually SQLite or MySQL do the trick for databases.
As for project and resource managment I am most experienced in:
- Trac for project management
- TortoiseSVN and TortoiseHg has version control tools.
My main areas of interest are Interactive applications and Game Development.
