About me
I am an experienced jewellery designer; 3 years in fine jewellery and 2 years in high street fashion jewellery. My work experiences have positioned me, in various roles, working amongst a small group of jewellery designers, being solely responsible for creating new products. I have worked for different companies with different types of customers and manufactures, including multinational companies, customers and colleagues; therefore, learning to adapt to new companies and markets very quickly. I have gained commercial understanding of different markets, and have 4 years experiences of negotiating with a wide range of suppliers. I enjoyed working with information from various sources and can assimilate, analyse and apply on creating new products, and also understand the importance of attention to details. I am equally happy working in a team as to on my own. I have worked individually creating products, establishing strategy and analysing information, developing a design idea from concept to finalize.
My academic education allowed me to expand my design and technical knowledge, enabling me to work more creatively while developing design. I am a fast software learner, and able to solve out the problem. My skills include 2-D and 3-D modelling in CorelDRAW, Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhinoceros, CAD/CAM program (rapid prototyping and laser cutting), flash and handcraft techniques. I am strong at creating 3-D shape and individual illustration, and able to apply various design skills but mostly originality to good use.
