To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to apply for the position of Junior Interior Designer as advertised on creativepool.co.uk.

I hold a Masters in Interior Design for which I was awarded a distinction from Edinburgh College of Art, which was kindly sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. For the duration of this degree I was on a placement within their Design Development Team which deals with both the retail and operational design concerns across the wide range of global brands the Group hold. Since completing this degree I have spent the past 28 months working and travelling abroad due to the economic climate in the UK. I am now looking to find work within the design industry that will be challenging both intellectually and creatively and from which I can begin to build a career from.

My ambition is to work within a multi-disciplinary design team, where I hope to bring my enthusiasm, creative flair, conceptual thinking and eagerness to learn to the table. I principally hope to be involved in the retail and workplace sector with a focus to communicate cohesive and compelling brand environments.

The year I spent working at RBS allowed me to hone my organizational and administrative skills and I consistently met deadlines set by high-level employees. I have experience in researching, collating and presenting information and data coherently and efficiently in both a written and visual format and am a clear, assured and fluid communicator. I have extensive experience in public facing roles, retain impeccable customer service skills and am confident at liaising with clients. I am a keen and quick learner and value working as part of a team in a busy and vibrant environment. I believe my managerial appointments demonstrate that I am highly organised, proactive and self motivated.

I firmly believe that the successful orchestration of strategy, graphics, interior architecture and art direction is the way to deliver thriving and lucrative brand communication. I hope to offer you my passion to discover and deliver excellence in design.
