About me

After graduating with a first in my degree, I sought to find work experience in London. I was initially offered a one month placement with Cornish Architects. However, the managing director told me that the company was impressed with my ability and offered to pay me a salary for that month. However, the contract was then extended and so I worked at Cornish for three months and I was paid for those three months. In this time I proved to be reliable, creative, a keen and fast learner, focused and efficient. I demonstrated this through a number of projects, some of which were individual and some were as part of a team. These projects include; a mezzanine proposal, an office proposal, various graphic designs, an exterior uplift proposal for an industrial/retail estate, and graphic work using the Adobe Suite to create visuals for presentations. My thorough and enthusiastic approach was recognised and I have an excellent reference from the managing director as a result.

I also have many transferable skills from working in the public realm for almost nine years. I have good interaction skills, confidence, a conscientious attitude and I achieved a duty manager role.

I enjoyed my time at Cornish and I am now looking to start my career and feed my passion with a permanent role as an interior designer. I am prepared to work extremely hard to prove my abilities and I am looking forward to tackling challenges, gaining experience, developing as an individual and growing as a designer.
