About me

I have three years Product Design experience and I am currently looking for a new exciting position to help me progress in my career.

After achieving a first class degree from the Nottingham Trent University in 2005, I went on to exhibit my work at UNDU and New Designers. From this I won the SunCorp Portfolio Award where in which I was awarded a three week placement at a leading design consultancy. This resulted in a full time position within the company, where I gained the skills necessary to develop as a designer in a professional working environment.

I have worked in two leading design consultancies with several large clients such as BT Movio, SunCorp, Le Creuset, Uniden and Masterfoods. I was involved in some very exciting projects ranging from dect telephones to illustrative pattern work and several packaging projects. Through all of these I learnt to deal with clients efficiently while constantly improving my sketching and 2D/3D computing skills. I also gained a good understanding of the design process from concept to manufacture. I worked closely with manufacturers and modelmakers to achieve the best results for the product.

My sketchwork, 2D and 3D computer skills are of a high standard and I can communicate effectively visually and verbally.
