About me

The Leipzig-based photographer »Nietze«, born in 1988 in Berlin, is an artist who deeply engages with societal issues and the cultural sector. Since 2019, she has been professionally working with the camera, and her work always focuses on people. Through her photographic works, she explores the cultural landscape, seeing it as an essential contribution to the cityscape and our coexistence. In 2021, "Nietze" published her first book titled »Kein Halt mehr«. This book documents Berlin's standstill during the pandemic and provides insights into the art and cultural scene. It is a testament to the emptiness and stagnation in a city that usually pulses with life.
»Nietze`s« images are characterized by their naturalness and rawness. They are vivid, captivating, and honest, mostly presented in black and white. The photographer breaks with conventions and advocates for a better society. »Nietze« is a talented artist; her images are not only aesthetically pleasing but also express a critical stance towards existing conditions. Through her photographs, she invites us to view the world from a new perspective. Thanks to her eye for detail and her ability to capture the essence of a moment, »Nietze« creates a deep connection between the viewer and the subject portrayed.

Since 2022, she has been working on a project titled »Hidden Heroes«, which documentary explores the subject of endometriosis.
