About me

I am a printed textile designer specialising in fashion and interiors. I have recently graduated from University, where I studied Printed Textile Design and received a high 2.1 honours degree. I am very passionate about design and love anything creative. I have excellent illustration and hand sketching skill as well as a fine hand for embellishment. For my final major project at University, I have achieved a prestigious dyers and colourists award, showing a keen eye for colour. As well as these skills, I have many years experience in using Adobe Photoshop and use the software almost everyday. After I graduated, I secured a 3 week placement with the fashion design company Lewis and Lewis, London, where I used original hand drawn imagery to produce prints for womens fashion garments. I then styled these digital prints into fashion garments, ready to be shipped to clients. Other duties included researching up and coming trends to put together story boards to work from. I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at Lewis and Lewis, it has made my passion to fully join the print/fashion industry even stronger. I am a very well rounded designer, having had experience at designing for fashion, interiors and cards and wrap. I am a very conscientious, passionate worker with an eye for detail. My dyers and colourists award shows that I have a natural sense with colour and what works well together. I am a great communicator and work well with other people.
